How do I sign up for classes?
From each individual studio’s page, you can click on the link to reserve classes using our MindBody Online scheduling software. Just create a username and password, select a class/package for purchase, and you’re all set.
Do you offer any specials for new clients?
We do! Please contact the studio you are interested in attending for information on new client specials.
I want to do the monthly auto-pay. How do I sign up?
In the Retail screen on MindBody Online, click on the “CONTRACTS” tab to sign up for autopay. Please note that there is a 3-month minimum commitment, but the contract is set for one year. After three months, you may cancel without penalty, but you must do so by e-mailing the studio directly with at least seven (7) days notice.
What do I need to bring to class?
Please wear comfortable clothes. Socks are required for all non-heated classes, and mats are required for all heated classes. We do have rental mats available at the studios for a small fee.
What can I expect at my first class?
Expect to feel the burning and shaking. All Barre Bee Fit classes are designed to challenge at every level. We offer modifications and challenges for everyone, regardless of experience or ability. Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries or concerns prior to class, and feel free to ask her any questions before or after class.
What else do I need to know for my first class?
Please review your welcome e-mail for specific studio location, requirements, and policies. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the class start time. We would like to have enough time to meet you, have you fill out some paperwork, and show you around.
I have no experience with ballet/dance. Can I still come to BBF?
Absolutely. Barre Bee Fit (or BBF) is not a program tailored only for dancers. In fact, some of our most inspiring instructors and clients have zero formal dance experience. The barre and exercises are used to help every woman develop strong, lean muscles. Some dance terminology may be used to set up exercises or cue movements, but these terms will be explained by your instructor. Always feel free to ask the instructor for additional clarification.
Can I come to Barre Bee Fit if I am pregnant?
Yes, you can. However, please clear it with your doctor and bring a doctor’s note with you to class before beginning any prenatal program. Please inform your instructor prior to class that you are pregnant. We would suggest arriving a little early to discuss modifications with your instructor before class.
Additionally, please check out our Queen Bee classes. This prenatal class was specially designed to keep you strong, challenged, and safe through all stages of your pregnancy.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We ask all clients to cancel class at least four (4) hours before the scheduled start time should they be unable to attend. Cancellations must be made online through your MindBody account. We cannot accept cancellations via e-mail or phone. Cancellations made less than four (4) hours before class will be considered late cancels. All late cancels and no-shows will automatically be charged $10.00 for that class, regardless of membership type.
This policy is intended help keep Barre Bee Fit classes full and wait lists short. We would like to help everyone get into every class they want, and improve the BBF experience for all clients. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
When should I know about arriving for class?
First-time clients should arrive 15 minutes prior to class for a studio tour and introduction to Barre Bee Fit.
The doors close right as class begins, and we cannot allow clients who are more than 5 minutes late to enter a class. This is for your own safety — without a proper warm-up, you place yourself at risk for injury by jumping into the workout. Please respect the instructor and fellow clients and arrive on time to avoid disrupting class.
I am a new client. What class do you recommend that I start with?
We recommend that all new clients take our original Barre Bee class at least once. Barre Bee offers intensive toning, cardio blasts, and deep stretching, and is a great introduction to our program. In this class, you will learn the basic moves and terminology that you can expect to see in our other class types.
How often should I come to BBF to see results, and what classes should I take?
Every client is different, so there is no set formula for results. We do recommend that all clients take advantage of our full program by incorporating cardio, toning, and yoga into a complete and well-balanced exercise routine.
Please feel free to reach out to your favorite instructor or speak to anyone on the BBF team about your goals and the best way for you to reach them.
